Two wooden, makeshift watchtowers look over a steep gravel road that turns and twists between narrow walls of dark rock. It’s the only way in and out of Martens coming from Grimrise Hollow, now that the Grimrise Delve tunnel above has been made useless.
Not many travelers dare to make the steep ascent: the pathway is crumbly and unstable, and the cold spray from the Whispercreek river roaring through the canyon makes the rocks wet and slippery.
